Behavioral Health Crisis Care with 23-hour observation is an intensive short-term intervention designed for individuals experiencing acute and emergent behavioral health crises.
All Guests are triaged for an urgent, focused assessment of the individual’s mental and physical status, risk factors, and immediate needs. The goal is to ensure the safety of the individual and others and determine the most appropriate and effective course of action, and next steps.
All Guests engage with our Peer Support team, who adopt a trauma-informed care approach, ensuring aspects like safety, trustworthiness, transparency, and collaborative spirit. This approach emphasizes the importance of mutual respect, empowerment, and providing a platform for voice and choice, all while being sensitive to diverse cultural backgrounds and experiences.
Our aim is to create a supportive, healing environment where every individual feels valued and heard. The DCC makes every effort to create a community atmosphere between clinicians and Guests, utilizing clinical brief therapeutic interventions.
Our medical team is available 24 hours a day to swiftly administer the appropriate medication to stabilize the individual’s condition, alleviate severe symptoms, and prevent complications. This process is vital for ensuring immediate relief, safeguarding the individual’s well-being, and setting the stage for ongoing treatment and recovery.
The DCC collaborates with Guests, their loved ones, and community resources to provide a seamless transition, offering the resources and support needed to promote recovery, prevent relapse, and foster long-term resilience and well-being.
